Job Description
A rapidly growing teen oriented social networking site that is vastly expanding its virtual world, is seeking an Art Director to help lead the overall artistic vision and execution for the company and drive exceptional creative from concept to completion. The Art Director will work collaboratively with the Creative Director and other creative team members, including writers, designers and illustrators, to bring the company's strategy to life in the market place and expand its online world's depth. Reporting directly to the Senior Art Director, the Art Director will join a management team that includes professionals in user experience, illustration and 3D game design.
Responsibilities include:
* Driving exceptional creative from concept to completion
* Helping to lead the overall artistic vision and execution for the company
* Managing multiple deadlines and consistently deliver creative on target and on time
* Presenting creative solutions to management and project owners
* Coordinating with outside agencies and manage internal clients
Requirements:
* Five to seven years of related experience; agency experience a plus
* B.A./B.S. degree in graphic design, advertising or related field
* Strong conceptual design, collaborative and organizational skills
* World-class creative thinking and exceptional design skills
* Multitasking and project-management skills
* Knowledge of virtual worlds a plus
* Able to see creative projects through from concept to completion
* Presenting creative solutions to management and project owners
* Ability to coordinate with outside agencies and manage internal clients
* Enjoyment in leading and motivating others and being part of a fun-loving, hard-working team
